Become a STEM Flight Pilot
Our STEM Flight Pilot Mentors (PMs) are the key to successfully motivating Students to pursue STEM and Pilot careers. Their enthusiasm and professionalism will largely shape the Students interests in the next steps to a career. It is imperative that our PM’s be the best pilots, very personable, and committed to seeing a Student through the program. So, we are searching for a smaller and more select group of Pilots – not the oldest or most experienced – the Best!
Requirements to become a STEM Pilot:
- Current & Qualified with required Medical
- Flight log showing 300 flight hours total time (minimum).
- Instructor Pilot not required

The STEM Pilot Process:
After your application is approved and background check complete, you will be matched with a Student in your area.
The Student will have completed on-line training and be familiar with STEM basics as they apply to aviation. The Student will also have selected an area of interest for his/her mission.
STEM Flights will provide a guideline (checklist) of suggested Mission Objectives for you to follow. You will schedule a pre-flight meeting to brief the flight with the Student and provide mentoring & education as required. You then schedule the flight (can be same day) and finally de-brief and complete an on-line log of accomplishments.
We are requesting our PM’s to dedicate one day a month (min) – 1-2 Students. Note: You will not act as a Flight Instructor – flights are demonstration only.
